I wonder, are you enjoying Wonder? :)

We are in the middle of reading the amazing book Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It's about 5th grader August Pullman who is starting public school for the first time. He's nervous, just like every other kid starting middle school, but Auggie is not your average 5th grader. His face is a bit of a medical mystery.
"I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse."
 I am loving this book and the positive message that it sends. What are your thoughts on the book so far? Since you are also starting middle school, can you relate to Auggie in any way?

    I am really enjoying reading this story with you guys! I think we are going to be able to learn a lot about being accepting of others. Can't wait to see how the book ends!

    I love the book. I like how it has a boy that has different face features then the other kids. It about NOT "judging a boy by its face." I can't wait for you to read more.

    I thought Wonder sent a good message to. The book was very detailed about Auggie's struggles in going into 5th grade and meeting new kids. What really annoyed me was that Julian said,"Were you in a fire or something?'' It's just why would someone say that it's rude and mean.

    I really like the book so far its really intersting how august is a boy with facial complications and he dose not care what the other kids think.

    I like this book a lot. It is very interesting because it shows not to judge some one how they look. Poor auggie

    Don't judge a person by looks. They can turn out really nice and fun playful.

      It is really important to not judge a person by the way they look. If you did you may miss out on meeting some really great people. Good job picking up on the theme of the book!
