We have reached the Final Four! Due to our shortened week, voting begins today and closes Friday afternoon. On Monday winners will be announced and we will be down to our last two books! It has been a close race so far and the choices are getting tougher.

Battle of the Books Update!

Well the first round of voting is officially over! Thank you to all the students and teachers who took the time to vote (We received 111 votes!). I heard some great discussions about these books in the hallways, the cafeteria, and bus lines at the end of the day. Hopefully your favorites came out on top! It was a very close race. Some books were separated by as little as 4 votes!
The winners of the first round will be announced Monday morning. Check the giant bracket in the cafeteria during lunch for the new match-ups. Voting will begin here Monday afternoon.

Battle of the Books Round 1

It's finally here! The day we have all been waiting for... Our Battle of the Books tournament has  begun and we're not going to let a little snow day keep us from kicking things off! Tomorrow you will be introduced to the bracket and shown how to make your predictions. During lunch students from my class will come explain how you can vote for your favorite books. We will also have a voting station set up during each lunch wave for the rest of the week. Just think, in a few short weeks we will find out what our favorite book is at Fields Memorial School!
