This book is about a girl named Nikki. In this book Nikki has to ice skate in gym for a fundraiser and whoever was the crowd favorite got a $10,000 check. Nikki is embarrassed a lot because her dad drives a van with a termite on top of it.
One event that happened in this book is that Nikki finds out her crush Brandon works at Furry Friends, the pet adoption place. Another event is that their princess sugar plum costumes get taken and they get locked in a room but get out and go out as clowns.
I really liked this book the reason why is because it's funny.It is funny is because there is always something wrong with Nikki everyday. I really think if you like drama that you should read this book and maybe the rest of the series.
This book is Fablehaven by Brandon Mull. This books about two kids who went to their grandparents house and found a magical world. Fablehaven is one of the last sanctuaries for magical creatures. The main character is Kendra is brave because she saved her grandparents from a monster.
Kendra and Seths parents are going cruise and dropped off their kids at their grandparents house. They found a magical world called Fablehaven. The grandfather is the caretaker of Fablehaven. Kendra and Seth have to save Fablehaven or possibly the world.
If you like fantasy books this is the book for you. Sense there is a sequel I would read it. This is similar to Narnia.
I read Stung by Bethany Wiggins. This book is about bees that are endangered, so they made more bees. These bees carried diseases, so people started getting flu shots. Then the people that got the vaccine started showing signs of insanity! Fiona, a girl that got the most vaccine because of her dad, woke up with a beast, her brother, chasing her. She ran away and found this girl, Arrin, who helped her but wants things in return. Fiona is brave because she wants to kill these people that captured her friend all by herself.
When Arrin saves Fiona’s life, she wants something in return, so Fiona runs into a military camp stealing their food and saving Arrin’s brother, however shegets caught. Fiona uses makeup to cover her mark on her arm showing how much vaccine she got, but they found it and kept her. After the first few nights Fiona realizes that the camp leader, Bowen, is her childhood friend when she was 13. But the camp is not safe and Fiona needed to cut her hair to make her look like a man to protect her from the people inside the wall, the people force girls to marry men with no way out of it. Bowen and Fiona escape the camp in order to go to Washington where it is free for everyone. Fiona is the most wanted person there so it is very hard to stay safe.
I LOVED this book, and I would highly recommend this to people who love science fiction, fantasy, and action. This book always had something going on so you’ll never get bored!

I am reading Matched by Ally Condie. This book is about a girl named Cassia and her family; mother, father, and little brother Bram. So far in the book Cassia has been matched with her friend Xander. People are never matched with someone they know. This hasn’t happened in about 100 years. Matching is when the society chooses who you will marry. The Society, or government, in this book makes all decisions for you; the music you listen too, books you read, your job, and even the food you eat! Cassia is brave because she hides a poem that she shouldn’t have. It’s not one of the 100 poems that are allowed.
Cassia’s grandpa died and it all went downhill from there. Her father did something bad for the grandpa and the dad lied to the mom about what happened. He told her it was an “accident”. Then Cassisa got a micro card to look at all the facts about Xander. But when she looks at the card she briefly sees someone else’s face. His name is Ky, another boy from Cassia’s school, but then her screen glitched back to Xander. How could this happen? Matches are supposed to be perfect. Could they have gotten it wrong? The matching department said somebody did this, not the society. The matching department said Xander is still her match.
My opinion of the book is that it is amazing. I love this book because I liked the book Divergent and this one is very similar. Yes I would recommend it to everyone this book is kind of like Divergent because people are separated and controlled by the government. So if you like Divergent you would like this book.
The Great Chicago Fire by Lauren Tarshis is about a boy named Oscar who is trying to get to his mother who is on the other side of the city. The main character is a boy named Oscar. Oscar is very brave. In the story he went into a small wooden house to save 2 kids when the house was on fire. They ended up becoming his two friends. Oscar is a boy who moves with his mom and a man named Mr. Morrow from a small town called Castle to the big city of Chicago. Oscar wondered off following a girl who stole his bags with his Papa's (who died) badge in it. He ends up across the whole city when a fire starts. He tries to get back but the fires push him and his friends, Bruno and Jennie, off course. When he reaches the other side he sees the hotel is on fire. Will he see his mother AGAIN?! Overall the book was good. I liked it because of all the action in it. I would recommend it to others. I would also give it 5 stars.
